Digital technology keeps on finding its way into the healthcare space. Finnish start-up Noona healthcare has set its eyes on cancer care, and provides a mobile service for the personal follow-up of cancer patients. The company has created a platform on which patients can directly report disease or treatment symptoms to their clinic or physicians, regardless of time and place. Reversely, oncologist can use Noona to easily monitor the recovery and well-being of their patients, allowing for rapid response when necessary. The platform provides researchers unique data on the real life safety and efficacy of new novel treatments in different patient groups.

From the very beginning, Noona has been developed together with the world’s leading cancer doctors and researchers with main partners including Stanford Medicine and Helsinki University Cancer Center.

Now, Noona has announced the completion of a € 1.5 million seed funding round led by Inventure, a Nordic venture capital fund. Other investors in the round included Noaber Ventures, the investment arm of The Noaber Foundation, and Belgium-based digital healthcare fund Capricorn ICT Arkiv.
